The petting zoo.

Emma's kind-heart and gentle soul amaze me. When we were at the petting zoo, in the middle of a thunder storm, it was mass chaos. Kids were running around, bunnies were scratching arms, and goats were stepping on toes. Emma, with her strong demeanor, stormed in there and picked up a bunny. To everyone's surprise around her, she started bouncing it up and down and shushing it. It happily settled into her arms for 10 minutes. She has a way with animals. They bring calmness to her spunky attitude, as she does to them. I wonder what this means?

The carnival.

Talon and Jenn came to visit just in time for the carnival and fair. The kids loved the rides. Emma loved it so much that we had to go back the next day. There was a thunderstorm that produced an inch or more of rain. To her luck, we ended up in the petting zoo taking shelter for at least an hour and a half.

Wow! Look at all those screaming kids...

Emma loved this ride. It was fast and jerky and painful. The second day we went she wanted to go by herself. I was hesitant, but I let her go. She went three times.

A hard day fishing.

In June we took our yearly trip to Story, WY to see my brother, his family and my parents.

Gracie (Emma's cousin) and her anxiously waited for someone to take them fishing.

It sure is hard work fishing.
I caught one!
This is so cool.

Our little red head.

Sometimes I wonder how we are going to survive toddlerhood, but then Emma flashes her sweet smile and it seems ok. She is strong, loving, caring, nurturing, kind-hearted, and precious to her brother. As a mother, I couldn't ask for more.

I can't get enough.

I know there will come a time when Sulli won't let me kiss his sweet cheeks. So until then, I am going to kiss them every second I can get.

Just Plain Cute.

Dance like you have never danced...

In January Emma started a dance class. At first she was somewhat hesitant, but showed enough interest that we kept going. When it came time for her performance she was beyond eager. Her teacher, Miss Katie, designated her line leader when they skipped around the circle. She took this to heart, and had a pushing match with another girl who attempted to go first. The audience found it quite comical.

Mexico...here we come.

In May we were all getting a little stir crazy, so we decided to head to Mexico. Our brave friends asked us to join them 10 days prior to departure. We hurried and got passports, sunscreen, and plenty of baby items that we knew we would not find in Sayulita. Never have been there, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We got online and booked the first place that we found available. We gladly left Bozeman, and a blizzard, and headed South. Boy were we in for an adventure.

The first thing we did was head to the beach. Emma couldn't resist the twenty dollar hair braids. Who said Mexico was cheap?

Sulli spent a lot of time in the shade and taking naps.

The first night we were there the electricity went out across the town. We only had two candles which made for an interesting experience. As we were getting ready for bed I noticed a huge cockroach scurry across the floor. We also had multiple geckos as house guests. Emma thought it was cool. I was disgusted.

This was our private pool.

Emma learns to ski.

Brent once said, "it is more fulfilling to watch your child learn to ski than to ski himself." I never thought I would hear that come out of HIS mouth. Every Friday Emma and Brent had a ski date. I loved watching the excitement in the morning.

What will he think?

Brent thinks that Sulli will be very mad at me in the future, and maybe he will, but isn't it worth the risk?.
